Moviefone's 25 Under 25: Hollywood's Hottest Young Stars

In order of appearance.

Robert Pattinson
Age: 23
Years on List: 2007, 2008, 2009
What He's Done: You don't have to be a 'Twi'-hard to appreciate R-Pattz's smoldering gaze in the first film adaptation of the teen-vampire love story 'Twilight.'
What's Next: The 'Twilight' saga continues; 'New Moon' will hit theaters later this year, and 'Eclipse' -- already filming -- is set for summer 2010. If that's not enough Pattinson for you, also look for him in the 2010 indie romantic drama 'Remember Me.'
Industry Buzz: "Pattinson could have a tidy career for the next few years as a hunky British heartthrob … Don't hold the 'Twilight Saga' against him; he's willing to play against type with roles like Salvador Dali in 'Little Ashes,' and the willingness to take roles like that means he could be working for a long time to come." -- Matt Atchity, Rotten Tomatoes

Dakota Fanning
Age: 15
Years on List: 2008, 2009
What She's Done: This year Hollywood's youngest veteran actress starred in the thriller 'Push' and voiced the lead in the animated hit 'Coraline,' seamlessly transitioning from child star to adept teen actress.
What's Next: She'll spice up 'Twilight''s second installment 'New Moon' (as an evil Volturi vamp who has it in for K-Stew's Bella), then appear in 2010's coming-of-age music biopic 'The Runaways.'
Industry Buzz: "In all of her performances, there's a genuine commitment and honesty that always comes across. You believe in the people she plays, and you empathize with them … Beyond her acting talents, she's also blossomed into a respected pop culture icon. Fans of 'Twilight' are more than excited." -- Chuck Walton, Fandango

Kristen Stewart
Age: 19
Years on List: 2007, 2008
What She's Done: She'd already garnered acclaim as a child actor ('Panic Room') and an extraordinarily mature teen actor ('Into the Wild') before being cast in the career-changing role of the headstrong, lovestruck Bella Swan in 'Twilight' and its future sequels.
What's Next: She'll play Joan Jett in the biopic 'The Runaways' and hopes to be able to do her own singing in the movie. And then, of course, there are enough 'Twilight' sequels to keep her going until she's almost too old for this list.
Industry Buzz: "I have no fear that Stewart's career will outlive 'Twilight.' Her resume is already packed with talented directors (David Fincher, Sean Penn) and character-rich indies ('Undertow'). Stewart has haunting features that make her perfect for vampire films, but so much more. 'Twilight' has given her fame and fortune; what the 19-year-old does with it will be the real challenge." -- Dave McCoy, MSN Movies

Keira Knightley
Age: 24
Years on the List: 2007, 2008, 2009
What She's Done: She played the sexiest swashbuckler ever in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' franchise, scored an Oscar nod for 2005's 'Pride & Prejudice' and bathed with Sienna Miller (platonically, of course) in this year's 'The Edge of Love.'
What's Next: Though she won't be returning for 'Pirates 4,' she has a quartet of films due in 2010 -- including 'London Boulevard' (opposite Colin Farrell), and 'Never Let Me Go,' based on Kazu Ishiguro's acclaimed novel.
Industry Buzz: "I met her the night she wore Vera Wang and didn't win a Golden Globe, and as modest as she was, I could tell that I was talking to a girl that knew she'd win a Globe -- or even an Oscar -- one day soon." -- Lien Ta, Hollywood.com

Taylor Lautner
Age: 17
Years on List: 2009
What He's Done: The family flicks 'Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl' and 'Cheaper by the Dozen 2' put him in position to land the iconic role of Jacob Back (you know, star of Team Jacob) in 'Twilight.'
What's Next: Lautner had to fight a public battle to keep the role of werewolf Jacob for November's sequel 'New Moon,' putting on 30 pounds in the process. Fan reactions to his shirtless publicity stills say the studio made the right call. In between 'Twilight's, he'll appear in 2010's star-studded rom-com 'Valentine's Day.'
Industry Buzz: "In theory, he should stay close to the 'Twilght' formula of teen-friendly romance. As he gets older, college comedies, romantic comedies and even an action flick or two might work, but he's got to show some real staying power with his fanbase. At this point, he really hasn't shown he can handle serious dramatic work. But who knows, an indie here or two might change all that." -- Gregory Ellwood, Hitfix.com
